Special Education Teacher – Moderate/Severe | $45/hr | Full-Time | K–12 | In-Person

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students with moderate to severe disabilities for the 2025–2026 school year. This in-person role begins ASAP and runs for 36 weeks. The teacher will work under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator and collaborate with general education staff to implement individualized programs and provide specialized instruction.

Position Overview

• Start Date: September 8, 2025

• End Date: Full school year (36 weeks)

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 35 hours/week

• Pay Rate: $45/hour

• Grade Levels: K–12

• Setting: Moderate/Severe

• Modality: In-person only

• Interview Format: Virtual or in-person

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction and tutorial support

• Implement IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

• Provide consultation to general education staff

• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

• Valid state teaching certificate (Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education)

• LBS1 endorsement (preferred)

• One year of teaching experience (preferred)

• CPR certification, TB screening, and health certificate (if applicable)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
