The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, hands-on care to patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN), or other licensed healthcare professional. This role involves delivering personalized care and performing essential non-clinical tasks to support the comfort and well-being of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse
- Support mobility and physical therapy efforts
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Perform clerical duties and document care as required
Minimum Requirements:
- Preferably one year of experience as a CNA within the past three years
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program with active certification in good standing
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic clerical functions
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB screening (PPD, chest x-ray, or questionnaire as required)
- Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulations)
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
