RN Neuro ICU Stepdown Contract – 48 Hours Nights

Amergis Staffing is currently seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) for Neuro ICU assignments in Dayton, OH!

 

Position Details:

Contract Length: 16 -20 weeks (with likely extension)

Number of Openings: 2

Start Date: 9/22

Hours/Shifts/Schedules: 48 (4×12’s) / Nights

*Will work every OTHER weekend/holiday

Ischemic Strokes
Hemorrhagic Strokes
Seizures
Encephalopathy
Neuromuscular Disorders
Brain and spinal tumors and cancer
Respiratory Failure
Renal Failure
Liver Failure
Pulmonary Embolus
Endocarditis
GI Bleeds
 
Medical, surgical unit with high acuity. Fast paced ICU, treating neurological diseases and disorders, seizures, strokes – comprehensive Stroke center.  Also treat overflow ICU patients from medical surgical ICU and heart and vascular ICU.
Bedside procedures include – EVD placement, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, trach and G-tube placement, central line & arterial line placement. Frequently recovery immediately following post-op surgical procedures.
ICP monitoring, EVD use, Limitor spinal drains, Subdural drains, arterial line, EEG monitor, BIS, Train of Four

 

The RN – Neuro ICU assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the neuro critical care setting. The Neuro ICU RN consistently performs according to nursing standards and is accountable in managing patient care and recognizing change in patient’s conditions.  The Neuro ICU RN must be alert and prepared at all times to respond to emergent situations and they must also be able to remain calm and professional in times of crisis.
