The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerizedtomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by aphysician. These cross-sectional imagesprovide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones,which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standardprocedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist alsoperforms a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CTscans.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologistpreferred.
- Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
- A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Current and valid state licensure as a Registered Radiologic Technologist, Required
· Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Required
· CT Certification, Required
· BLS certification required, Required
· 3 years experience in Medical Imaging field (Not including school), Required
· Experience operating facility-specific equipment (Philips), Highly desired
