School-Based Occupational Therapist (K–5)
Location: Vernon Hills, IL
Duration: 40 Weeks
Schedule: 32 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $60/hour
Start Date: ASAP
Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in grades K–5 across two elementary school buildings. One site serves Kindergarten only, while the other serves grades 1–5. The buildings are within walking distance of each other, allowing for easy transitions between locations.
The OT will be responsible for conducting evaluations, developing individualized therapy plans, delivering direct services, and maintaining documentation in accordance with each student’s plan of care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct student evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct occupational therapy services
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice
- One year of professional OT experience preferred
- CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (as required by contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
