Special Education Teacher – Autism Inclusion | $47/hr | Full-Time | Glendale, AZ | FOCUS Program

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students with Autism in inclusive classroom settings across two campuses in Glendale, Arizona. This position begins September 15, 2025, and runs through May 21, 2026. The role is part of the district’s FOCUS program, a mild-to-moderate intensity behavior intervention model designed to support students with disabilities through positive behavior strategies and social skills instruction.

Position Overview

  • Location: Glendale, AZ (two campuses within 15 minutes of district office)

  • Start Date: September 15, 2025

  • End Date: May 21, 2026

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (37.5 hours/week)

  • Pay Rate: $47/hour

  • Grade Level: K–12 (Autism Inclusion)

  • Caseload: 6–7 and 10 -12 Students 

  • Support: Paraprofessionals assigned to classroom

  • Interview Format: Virtual

  • Modality: In-person only

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualized instruction and case management

  • Implement IEPs and follow established lesson plans

  • Teach social skills and support students in general education classrooms

  • Use positive behavior interventions and supports aligned with the FOCUS program

  • Collaborate with general education staff and related service providers

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

  • Valid Arizona teaching certificate (Special Education endorsement preferred)

  • One year of teaching experience (preferred)

  • LBS1 endorsement (preferred)

  • CPR certification (if applicable)

  • TB screening and health certificate (if applicable)

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
