Teacher for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing | Glendale, AZ | $48/hr | Full-Time | 2025–2026 School Year

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated Teacher for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (DHH) to support students across multiple campuses in Glendale, Arizona. This full-time role begins September 14, 2025, and runs for 36 weeks. The DHH Teacher will work district-wide in collaboration with Speech and OT teams to deliver academic instruction tailored to deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

Position Overview

  • Location: Glendale, AZ (all campuses within 15 minutes of district office)

  • Start Date: September 14, 2025

  • Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

  • Duration: 36 weeks

  • Pay Rate: $48/hour

  • Modality: In-person

  • Interview Format: Virtual

Responsibilities

  • Teach academic subjects using regular or adapted curriculum

  • Support students with amplification devices and sign language

  • Collaborate with Speech and OT teams to meet student needs

  • Maintain compliance with professional standards and district policies

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

  • Valid Arizona teaching certificate

  • Experience with deaf and hard-of-hearing students (preferred)

  • ASL proficiency or certification (may be required)

  • Knowledge of amplification devices and sign language

  • CPR certification (if applicable)

  • TB screening and health certificate (if applicable)

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
