Special Education Teacher

Now Hiring: Special Education Teacher (K–12)

Start Date: September 15, 2025 | Duration: 40 Weeks | Weekly Hours: 37.5

Amergis Staffing is seeking a qualified and passionate Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality instruction and support to students in a self-contained high school classroom. Under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will collaborate with general education staff to plan and implement individualized student programs, including specialized instruction, tutoring, and consultation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction tailored to students’ IEPs
• Conduct assessments and track student progress
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Valid State Teaching Certificate as required by state/district
• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (preferred)
• Certifications preferred:
  • Standard Elementary Teaching
  • Standard Secondary Teaching
  • Standard Special Teaching
  • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement 
  • Must meet all professional standards of practice
