Now Hiring: High School Special Education Teacher (Math Support) | Phoenix, AZ

Location: On-site in Phoenix, AZ
Start Date: September 15, 2025
Duration: 36 weeks
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $50/hour

About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Special Education Teacher to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of students. In this role, you’ll provide math support through both push-in and pull-out models, collaborating closely with general education staff to ensure every student receives the support they need to thrive.

You’ll be part of a supportive and mission-driven team that values collaboration, innovation, and student success.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver specialized instruction and math support to high school students with diverse learning needs
Implement IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Provide tutorial assistance and consult with general education teachers
Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal regulations

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
Valid Arizona teaching certificate or eligibility to obtain one
At least 1 year of teaching experience (preferred)
Certification in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
- Standard Elementary Teaching
- Standard Secondary Teaching
- Standard Special Teaching
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB test or chest x-ray (if applicable)
Health certificate (if required by state or district)
Must be at least 18 years of age
