School Psychologist (LSSP) – Houston, TX
Location: Houston, Texas
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week | 35-week duration
Pay:
- Local Rate: $55/hour
- Travel Rate: $35/hour + Travel Stipend (equivalent to approximately $25/hour)
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to provide on-site psychological services to students in the Houston area. This role supports students facing mental health and developmental challenges and plays a key part in qualifying students for additional support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Develop and implement intervention strategies
- Support students’ emotional and behavioral development
- Maintain compliance with state and district regulations
Minimum Requirements
- Current LSSP licensure in Texas
- Master’s degree in Psychology (preferred)
- Experience with pediatric and adolescent populations
- Familiarity with professional standards of practice
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
