Special Education Teacher – K–8 Resource (Phoenix, AZ) Start Date: October 13, 2025 | Duration: 12 Weeks (Maternity Leave Coverage) Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week Pay Rate: $48–$52/hour Modality: In-Person Only

We are seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to provide resource support to students in grades K–8. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this educator will deliver high-quality services and collaborate with general education staff to support inclusive learning environments. This is a short-term, full-time opportunity covering a maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and tutorial support to students with IEPs

  • Collaborate with general education teachers to implement student programs

  • Participate in team planning and consultation

  • Maintain compliance with all professional and district standards

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

  • Valid Arizona teaching certificate (required)

  • Active ADE Certification and IVP Card (required)

  • One year of classroom experience (preferred)

  • Certifications preferred:

    • Standard Elementary Teaching

    • Standard Secondary Teaching

    • Standard Special Teaching

    • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement

  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

  • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
