Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – 2025/2026 School Year
Location: Huntsville, Texas
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week | Hybrid option available
Employment Type: W2 position with benefits and weekly pay
Pay Rate: $40/hour

About the Role

We’re seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based team for the 2025/2026 academic year. This role supports licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering high-quality speech and language services to students. The SLPA will engage in clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment-related activities, all within the scope of care assigned by the supervising SLP and/or physician.

Responsibilities

Assist in implementing speech and language programs under the supervision of a licensed SLP
Support students in achieving communication goals in educational settings
Document student progress and maintain accurate records
Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals
Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP development as needed

Minimum Requirements

Associate’s degree from an SLPA program or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience
Current SLPA license or certification in the state of Texas
Familiarity with professional standards of practice
Preferred: One (1) year of prior SLPA experience
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
