Amergis Healthcare is hiring a registered nurse to support in a Orange County in a correctional setting at a Santa Ana Jail! Corrections experience required.
Details
- Setting: Corrections
- Location: Santa Ana
- Schedule: AMs, PMS- Full time 8 hour shifts
- Pay: $60 per hour
- Initial Health Assessments
- Conduct intake screenings for new inmates to identify immediate health concerns
- Review medical histories and assess for chronic conditions or mental health needs
- Routine and Emergency Care
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Provide emergency medical care for injuries, acute illnesses, or mental health crises
- Monitor chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
- Mental Health Support
- Collaborate with mental health professionals to manage psychiatric conditions
- Administer psychiatric medications and monitor mental health status.
- Health Education
- Educate inmates on hygiene, disease prevention, nutrition, and chronic disease management
- Documentation and Compliance
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards for inmate healthcare
- Collaboration and Safety
- Work closely with correctional officers to ensure safe delivery of care
- Follow facility protocols to maintain security during medical procedures
RN Qualifications:
- BLS/CPR certified (or willing to obtain before start)
- 2 year of correctional experience preferred or inmate experience
- Valid CA RN license
