Duration: 36 Weeks
Pay Rate:
- Local: $70/hr
- Travel: $55/hr + $20/hr (Lodging & Meal Stipend)
About the Role:
Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support students with mild to moderate disabilities in Buellton, CA. Instruction may be delivered in general education or specialized settings, with a focus on individualized support and inclusive learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with timelines
- Conduct assessments and support evaluation processes
- Provide direct instruction tailored to student goals
- Collaborate with general educators and related service providers
- Supervise instructional support staff and students
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality
- Participate in school activities and maintain professional conduct
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- California Mild/Moderate Credential
- Experience in special education preferred
- CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB clearance and health certificate (as required)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
