Job Title: LicensedPractical Nurse (LPN) – Resident Manager
Location: Tacoma, WA
Pay Rate: $42/hour
Schedule: 40 hours/week, primarily Monday–Friday with on-call andweekend availability as needed
Start Date: 2 weeks from offer
Duration: 26 weeks | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) toserve as a Resident Manager for two adult family homes specializing in elderlyand memory care. This leadership role combines direct caregiving (25–50%) withoversight of care plans, staff scheduling, and day-to-day operations. The idealcandidate is a strong team leader who leads by example, embraces feedback, andis committed to providing compassionate care to residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with nursing standards and facility protocols
- Oversee and implement resident care plans and monitor changes in condition
- Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage
- Lead and support caregiving staff across two adjacent homes
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
- Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative environment for residents and staff
- Be available for on-call duties and flexible scheduling, including weekends
Minimum Requirements:
- Current LPN license in Washington State
- Current BLS certification
- Current PPD or Chest X-ray
- Health certificate
- 1–2 years of experience in senior care, assisted living, and adult family homes
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience with memory care and elderly populations
- Passion for resident care and team development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Resident Manager or similar leadership role
- Familiarity with business operations in group home settings
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Additional Details:
- Fixed schedule with potential for overtime depending on call-outs
- Will float between two homes located next door to each other in Tacoma
- Temp-to-perm opportunity – only candidates interested in long-term placement will be considered

The Long Term Care LPN assumes responsibility andaccountability for the delivery of care for patients in a Long TermCare/Assisted Living Facility. The nurse demonstrates ability to make clinicaljudgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision, as well ascritical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care.Additionally, this individual performs according to nursing standards and isaccountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management ofpatient care.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse License for the state inwhich the nurse practices
- Current Health Certificate (if applicable)
- Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
- One year prior professional nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS card
- Successful completion of screening tests for the clinicalspecialty area(s) in which the LPN practices with a score of 80% or greater
