Adult Healthcare Aide
Location: Olympia, WA
Pay Rate: $26/hour
Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Flexible up to 44hours/week
Position Summary:
Amergis is seeking a compassionateand dedicated Adult Day Healthcare Aide to provideindividualized care and companionship to a veteran client in a home setting.This role includes assisting with personal needs, engaging clients inrecreational and therapeutic activities, and supporting therapy sessions. Theaide may also accompany clients on field trips and social outings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care and comfort needs
- Provide companionship and engage clients in activities such as:
- Games, music, arts and crafts, basic exercise, and watching television
- Support physical, occupational, or speech therapy sessions
- Accompany clients on field trips and social activities
- Work effectively with developmentally disabled and behaviorally challenged individuals
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience:
- Required: CNA or HCA
- ASL: Intermediate or fluent proficiency Required
- 1+ year in a home health setting
- Experience with developmentally disabled or behavioral health clients preferred
- Veteran care experience is a plus

The Adult Day Healthcare Aide will perform a variety ofindividualized client activities and related non-professional servicesnecessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of clients. The Adult Day Healthcare Aide will alsoprovide companionship for clients and engage them in activities such as playinggames, walking about the facility, music, arts and crafts, basic exercise, andwatching television. Assistance orguidance with physical, occupational, or speech therapy may also beincluded. This position may alsoaccompany groups of patients on field trips and social activities outside thefacility/home.
Minimum Requirements:
- One year experience working in a setting withdevelopmentally disabled clients, behaviorally challenged and/or behavioralhealth clients preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in theEnglish language is required
