The Correctional RN collaborates with healthcareprofessionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the healthand safety of the incarcerated population. This role involves providing bothroutine and emergency care within the unique constraints of a correctionalfacility.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care in a correctional setting
- Address challenges specific to the correctional environment
- Respond to both routine and urgent medical needs
Minimum Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (state-specific)
- Minimum 1 year of correctional healthcare experience preferred
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
