Correctional RN – Position Overview

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with healthcareprofessionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure thewell-being of the incarcerated population. This role requires the ability toprovide both routine and emergency care within the unique constraints of acorrectional facility.

The RN must be able to navigate the challenges of thecorrectional environment while delivering compassionate, effective care.

Minimum Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse License (state-specific)
  • Minimum of 1 year correctional healthcare experience preferred
  • Current CPR certification (if applicable)
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Assignment Details

Position: Corrections RN
Location:  Henning, TN
Start Date: September 22
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend required
Shifts Available: 2 Days / 2 Nights

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of corrections or psychiatric nursing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience
