Behavior Technician – Float Role with Big Impact
If you’re calm under pressure, quick on your feet, and passionate about supporting students with moderate to severe behavioral needs, this role is built for you. As a Behavioral Technician (Paraprofessional), you’ll be part of a district-wide float team, jumping in where needed and helping students thrive in a variety of settings.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting students with behavioral challenges across multiple programs

Providing instructional and behavioral assistance in classrooms and one-on-one settings

Collaborating with a large, experienced behavioral team

Starting as a full float and working toward a best-fit permanent placement
The Details:

Pay: $22/hour

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM (as-needed schedule)

Break: 30-minute unpaid lunch

Start: ASAP

Location: District-wide float across the cooperative
What You’ll Need:

High School diploma or equivalent
-
IL Paraprofessional License (required)

Two years of pediatric experience preferred

CPR certification (if applicable)
-
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
