General Comments
- Is there a ratio that an LVN could expect to overlook by themselves? The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) has a 4:1 consumer to nurse staffing ratio that has to be maintained at all times. It’s a 4-bed facility.
- During a de-escalation scenario, is there a protocol to ensure that and nurse has support from other staff, or could there be instances where a nurse would be expected to handle situations by themselves. During a de-escalation scenario we first attempt verbal de-escalation, attempt to prompt consumers into their assigned rooms, administer/call for and administer meds as needed.
If necessary the nurse is expected to call for additional staff support from any Triage team present and the PFH facility as needed. Response is very fast, we are sister divisions adjoined in the same building.
- Competitive pay & weekly paychecks
