RN School Nurse - Part Time/PRN - Pay $42/Hr.

We are in need of nurses who are only looking to sub and willing to ride a bus when needed. They should have the following experience. 

• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Pediatrics and/or special needs
• G-tube/J-tube/NG tube experience, bolus and pumps.  
• Seizure experience and familiarity with emergency medication for seizures.
• Able to sub in Lisle, Villa Park, Naperville, and Darien and ride a bus when needed.  
• Bus rides may start in Villa Park, Lombard, Woodridge, Downers Grove, Willowbrook, or Carol Stream. 

The School Registered Nurse oversees the application of thenursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting. TheSchool RN supports the physical, mental and emotional well-being of studentswithin the school setting. The School RN plays an essential role in promotingthe health and safety, responding to medical emergencies, managing chronicconditions and serving as a liaison between families, school staff andhealthcare providers. The School RN provides services in accordance with Amergis’philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.  

Minimum Requirements:  

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state ofemployment
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred 
• School Nurse Certification as required by state or contract
• One year of school nursing, public health or pediatricexperience, preferred  
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice  
• Current CPR if applicable 
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)  
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  
• Must be at least 18 years of age
