Travel RN Cath Lab

The RN (Cath Lab or Cardiac Cath Lab) specializes in working with patients undergoing cardiac procedures in a catheterization lab.  During cardiac catheterizations, these specially trained nurses assist the medical team by monitoring the patient’s vitals, assisting with procedural sedatives, assisting doctors, technicians, nurses and the patients.

Minimum Requirements:

Position Title:   Cath Lab Registered Nurse

Travel Pay Weekly: $1600 wages + $1659 allowances = $3259 total

Position Comments: 

Shift Info: Day 5×8-Hour 07:30 – 16:00

Required Certs: CA RN, ACLS, BLS

Required Exp: 2 years experience, Will accept 1st time traveler

On Call is required

Scrubs are provided

DEPARTMENT-SPECIFIC SKILLS KNOWLEDGENONINVASIVE CARDIOLOGY: Knowledge of Epic NONINVASIVE CARDIOLOGY: Supervises monitors and reports on patients who are testing for all types of cardiac stress nuclear treadmill dobutamine transesophageal echocardiograms tilt table and cardioversion procedures. Maintains crash carts defibrillator IV kits pyxis. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Demonstrates working knowledge of patient care techniques medications treatments and general health care procedures Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Ability to: • provide basic patient care to a diverse patient population • read/interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations • write legibly and effectively present ideas document activities • demonstrate leadership abilities • deal with problems involving several variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
