The Residential Aide assists in developing the therapeuticprogram and treatment plan by helping to create a therapeutic environment. Through direct service, the Residential Aidecollaborates with a multi-disciplinary team in achieving the goals of theresidential program and the clients who reside there.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences preferred
- One year relevant experience in a residential treatmentsetting highly preferred
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (per state or clientrequirements)
- Current valid driver’s license (per state or clientrequirements)
- Crisis prevention course certified preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Schedule:
– AM / PM available
– 9-10 hour shifts
– must be comfortable working weekends
Requirements:
– Previous experience working with youth or similar populations, especially in a mental health setting
– Experience handling crises and de-escalation
– CPI, Pro-Act, or SPA training preferred
– SPA training and certification will be required prior to starting
– CPR/AED/First-Aid certification required prior to starting
3 – 630a-430p Sunday to Wednesday
These staff will work exclusively with the male adolescent unit. This unit tends to have the highest physical aggression. Staff need to be the most engaging and proactive for these.
2 – Sunday to Wednesday
Sunday- Tuesday 2p-11p; Wednesday 12p-11p
2 – Back End Wednesday to Saturday
Wednesday 12p-11p and Thursday to Saturday 2p-11p
