Occupational Therapist – School-Based | Huntington Beach, CA | $70/hr | 15-Week Contract

Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist to support PreK–8 students across multiple school sites in Huntington Beach, California. This is an in-person role focused on assessments, therapy services, and IEP participation, with a 15-week contract and a 37.5-hour weekly schedule.

Position Details

Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Start Date: September 2, 2025
Schedule: Monday–Friday, approx. 37.5 hours/week
Contract Length: 15 weeks
Pay Rate: $70/hr
Grades: PreK–8
Coverage: 8 school sites
Caseload: 60–80 students
Support: May include COTA assistance

Key Responsibilities

Conduct student evaluations and develop individualized plans of care
Deliver and document therapy services in alignment with district and state guidelines
Prioritize assessments and direct services
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams

Minimum Requirements

Current California OT license
One year of prior professional OT experience (preferred)
School-based experience required
Familiarity with IEP documentation and procedures
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
