Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher to support an elementary mild/moderate classroom in San Jose, California. This is an in-person role with a 250-day contract and a 37.5-hour weekly schedule.

Position Details

• Location: San Jose, CA

• Start Date: August 13, 2025

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week

• Classroom: Mild/Moderate, Elementary

• Contract Length: 250 weekdays

• Pay Rate: $60/hr

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)

• Valid California teaching certificate as required by state and contract regulations

• Minimum one year of classroom experience (preferred)

• Licensure:

  • Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)

  • Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)

  • Standard Special Teaching (preferred)

  • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement (preferred)

• Current CPR certification (if applicable)

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)

• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
