Mental Health Technician (Adolescent Program, Ages 11–17)
Location: Dripping Springs, TX
Schedule: Overnight Shift includes weekends.
Contract Type: Short-term contract with high potential for extension and internal permanent placement

Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technicians to join our team in supporting adolescents through their therapeutic journey—from admission to discharge. This role is vital to maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment, and involves direct engagement with patients, group facilitation, and collaboration with the clinical team.

Mental Health Technicians serve as a consistent and caring presence for our clients, helping them navigate treatment while promoting emotional growth and resilience. We encourage creativity and welcome team members to integrate personal strengths and passions—such as yoga, art, or other hobbies—into our programming.

Key Responsibilities
Welcome and orient new patients to the program, completing assessments within 24 hours of admission
Identify and communicate any special needs to the treatment team
Monitor patients throughout the facility to ensure safety and well-being
Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating professionalism and empathy
Support therapeutic goals by helping patients engage in coping strategies and structured activities
Lead psychoeducational and therapeutic groups (e.g., life skills, relapse prevention, coping skills)
Document patient behavior and interactions thoroughly and confidentially
Maintain cleanliness and order in the facility during assigned shifts
Answer phone calls professionally and direct inquiries appropriately

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in adolescent mental health
Valid Driver’s License in good standing
CPR/First Aid certification
CPI certification within 90 days of hire
TB test required
Commitment to ongoing training and professional development (monthly online and in-person sessions)
