Special Education Teacher – Portland, OR | $52/hr | Full School Year

Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year in the Portland area. This is an in-person role supporting K–12 students with a 39-week contract and a 37.5-hour weekly schedule.

Position Details

Location: Portland, OR
Start Date: September 2, 2025
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week
Contract Length: 39 weeks
Pay Rate: $52/hr

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
Valid Oregon teaching certificate as required by state and contract regulations
Minimum one year of classroom experience (preferred)
Licensure:
- Standard Elementary Teaching (preferred)
- Standard Secondary Teaching (preferred)
- Standard Special Teaching (preferred)
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement (preferred)
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray (if applicable)
Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
