Registered Nurse (RN) – Correctional Institution

Location: Hookerton, NC
Shift Options:

• Days: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | 40 hours/week | Every Other Weekend (EOW)
• Nights: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | 36/48 hour rotation | Every Other Weekend (EOW)
  Contract Type: 13 weeks

Position Summary:

Join a dedicated healthcare team providing essential medical services within a secure correctional environment. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to an underserved population, ensuring safety, dignity, and quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and triage care needs
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide acute care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with correctional staff and healthcare providers
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Uphold safety, security, and ethical standards in all care delivery

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of practice
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (correctional or acute care preferred)
• Current BLS certification
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, structured environment
