- Implement Individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs): Follow behavior plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), tailored to classroom and school environments.
- Apply ABA Therapy Techniques in Educational Settings: Use evidence-based ABA strategies such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), and reinforcement systems to support academic, behavioral, and social development.
- Collect and Record Student Data: Accurately track progress on IEP goals and behavior targets using data collection tools; complete session notes and documentation in compliance with school district and ABA provider policies.
- Promote Positive Student Engagement: Encourage appropriate classroom behavior, attention, and participation through proactive behavior support and positive reinforcement.
- Collaborate with School Professionals: Partner with teachers, special education staff, school psychologists, speech therapists, and BCBAs to ensure consistent implementation of behavior strategies.
- Manage Challenging Behaviors: Respond to behavioral incidents using trained de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies while maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Support Social Skills and Emotional Regulation: Help students build peer interaction skills, emotional coping strategies, and independence through structured ABA-based interventions.
- Maintain Confidentiality and Professional Ethics: Adhere to HIPAA and FERPA regulations; demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and ethical conduct in all interactions.
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Ability to pass a background check and TB test (Required)
- Must be comfortable commuting to and working at school sites in Tustin, Orange, Santa Ana, Garden Grove, and Irvine
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience as a Behavior Technician, ABA Therapist, or RBT preferred
- Monday–Friday full-time morning shifts
