Job Title: Emergency Room (ER) Nurse – 3 PM to 3 AM (48 Hours/Week)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our fast-paced ER team in Providence, RI. This role is ideal for a compassionate, quick-thinking RN who thrives in high-pressure environments and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care during evening and overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Triage patients based on acuity and initiate appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Respond to medical emergencies and trauma situations with efficiency and professionalism.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Rhode Island (or compact license).
- Minimum 1–2 years of ER or critical care experience preferred.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (TNCC preferred).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
