Job Title: Emergency Room (ER) Nurse – 3 PM to 3 AM (48 Hours/Week)
Location: Providence, Rhode Island
Schedule: 3 PM – 3 AM, 4 shifts/week (48 hours total)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Department: Emergency Services

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Room Nurse to join our fast-paced ER team in Providence, RI. This role is ideal for a compassionate, quick-thinking RN who thrives in high-pressure environments and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care during evening and overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Triage patients based on acuity and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform diagnostic procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Respond to medical emergencies and trauma situations with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in the state of Rhode Island (or compact license).
  • Minimum 1–2 years of ER or critical care experience preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (TNCC preferred).
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
