Unemployment Claims Coordinator

The Unemployment Claims Coordinator provides support to the company in tracking, facilitating and managing all aspects of the unemployment process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Partners with third party claims administrator (Equifax) for all Unemployment processes for the company
  • Completes Unemployment related requests accurately and timely
  • Tracks all parts of the Unemployment process by branch office and identifies appropriate actions
  • Determines, notifies and preps hearing participants
  • Maintains files and closes cases according to established procedures
  • Identifies trends and recommends corrective measures
  • Ensures Compliance with all state and federal regulations in relation to Unemployment
  • Works closely with branch offices to ensure accurate data is provided for timely responses to state agencies
  • Provides support and education to local offices in regards to best practices, policies, and recommendations. Escalates concerns appropriately
  • Manages postal and electronic unemployment mail
  • Performs other job-related duties as requested
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources and/or unemployment processing preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and great attention to detail required
  • Ability to multi-task and meet competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across all levels in the organization
  • Excellent judgment and discretion handling confidential data
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required
