The Unemployment Claims Coordinator provides support to the company in tracking, facilitating and managing all aspects of the unemployment process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Partners with third party claims administrator (Equifax) for all Unemployment processes for the company
- Completes Unemployment related requests accurately and timely
- Tracks all parts of the Unemployment process by branch office and identifies appropriate actions
- Determines, notifies and preps hearing participants
- Maintains files and closes cases according to established procedures
- Identifies trends and recommends corrective measures
- Ensures Compliance with all state and federal regulations in relation to Unemployment
- Works closely with branch offices to ensure accurate data is provided for timely responses to state agencies
- Provides support and education to local offices in regards to best practices, policies, and recommendations. Escalates concerns appropriately
- Manages postal and electronic unemployment mail
- Performs other job-related duties as requested
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources and/or unemployment processing preferred
- Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and great attention to detail required
- Ability to multi-task and meet competing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, across all levels in the organization
- Excellent judgment and discretion handling confidential data
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required
