Amergis is seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to support students in an Emotional Growth Center classroom within the Beaverton School District. This role focuses on providing high-quality instruction and behavioral support to students with elevated emotional and behavioral needs.

?? About the Role

Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you’ll:

Deliver specialized instruction and support for students in grades K–12
Collaborate with general education staff to implement individualized programs
Provide tutorial assistance and behavioral consultation
Foster a structured, supportive learning environment

Anticipated 40 hours/week
Grade Level: Likely Middle or High School
Setting: Emotional Growth Center classroom
Compensation: $54/hour
Start Date: ASAP

?? Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
Valid state teaching certificate (Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching preferred)
LBS1 endorsement preferred
Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
Experience working with students with high behavioral needs
Current CPR certification (if applicable)
TB screening and health certificate (as required)
Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
Minimum age: 18 years
