Location: Brockton, MA
Pay Rate: $25-$30 /hour (based on experience)
Start Date: August 25th, 2025
Schedule: Monday – Friday – 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree (in education or a related field preferred)
– Experience working as a lead substitute teacher
Description:
Amergis is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide coverage at both the elementary and middle school levels. The assignment will begin with a Kindergarten classroom from August 25th through Thanksgiving. Following the holiday break, the role will transition to a Middle School classroom and continue through February 1st.
Religious Instruction:
As part of the curriculum, the school includes religious education and inquires whether candidates are Catholic and comfortable teaching religion. However, this is not a strict requirement. The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
