 Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy to patients. Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients. Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout, as assigned. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs. Adequately documents all aspects of patient care. Supervises, directs and delegates to Respiratory Therapists, Respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned. Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Certification/Licensure Required: Associate of Science Degree, from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program Required, BLS 
  • Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care Required.
  •  Current License – Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan. 
  •  Additional Skills/Information: NRP, Peds ICU, Neo Natal exp preferred. 1 1/2+ Years of experience in a ICU/Floor setting. Cerner experience preferred. Puritan 980 machine, Hamilton Transport, Servo U experience preferred. ABG Competent.
***Will accept local candidates that live within 50 miles. Pay for local candidates is $46/hr.
