Job Title: Medical Assistant – Primary Care (3+ Years Experience Required)
Location: Providence, RI

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in a medical assistant role, specifically within a primary care setting. This position plays a vital role in supporting physicians and nurse practitioners in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and assisting with physical exams.
  • Administer injections, perform EKGs, and collect lab specimens as directed.
  • Manage patient flow and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked and sanitized.
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up appointments.
  • Provide patient education and support regarding medications, procedures, and care plans.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
