Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: Multiple locations within Southern CA
Pay Rate: Starting at $45/hour- Weekly Pay
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, you will provide high-quality services to students in grades K–12 with special education needs. This role requires a collaborative spirit and a commitment to individualized instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation with general education staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
- Monitor and document student progress
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract, or district regulations
- Minimum of one year of experience in a teaching environment (preferred)
- State Teacher Certification in one or more of the following areas (preferred):
- Standard Elementary Teaching
- Standard Secondary Teaching
- Standard Special Teaching
- Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) (preferred)
- Current CPR certification (if applicable)
- TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
- Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
