PsychiatricRegistered Nurse (RN) – PRN (Per Diem)
Job Description:
Location: Fife, WA
Pay Rate: $57/hour
We are seeking a compassionate andexperienced Registered Nurse to join our behavioral health team in Fife, WA.This PRN (per diem) position offers flexible scheduling andthe opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individualsexperiencing psychiatric and behavioral health challenges.
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts (day and night shifts available)
- Estimated 2 shifts per week
- Additional on-call opportunities available
Responsibilities:
The Psychiatric RN overseesmedical, psychiatric, substance abuse, and nursing care for individuals served.This role also acts as a clinical liaison until individuals are enrolled inservices at another community facility.
Key Duties Include:
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
- Administer medications per protocol
- Provide individual and family counseling
- Respond to crisis calls and provide interventions
- Coordinate with external medical and nursing services
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards
Required Skills andQualifications:
- Valid Washington State RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Negative TB test and health certificate
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting
- Knowledge of psychiatric medications, side effects, and interactions
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Ability to conduct assessments and create treatment plans
- Trauma-Informed Care experience preferred
- Bilingual candidates preferred
- Must pass de-escalation training as required by state regulations
- Basic computer proficiency
- Effective listening and problem-solving skills
