PsychiatricRegistered Nurse (RN) – PRN (Per Diem)

Job Description:

Location: Fife, WA
Pay Rate: $57/hour

We are seeking a compassionate andexperienced Registered Nurse to join our behavioral health team in Fife, WA.This PRN (per diem) position offers flexible scheduling andthe opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individualsexperiencing psychiatric and behavioral health challenges.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts (day and night shifts available)
• Estimated 2 shifts per week
• Additional on-call opportunities available

Responsibilities:

The Psychiatric RN overseesmedical, psychiatric, substance abuse, and nursing care for individuals served.This role also acts as a clinical liaison until individuals are enrolled inservices at another community facility.

Key Duties Include:

• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
• Administer medications per protocol
• Provide individual and family counseling
• Respond to crisis calls and provide interventions
• Coordinate with external medical and nursing services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards

Required Skills andQualifications:

• Valid Washington State RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Negative TB test and health certificate
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting
• Knowledge of psychiatric medications, side effects, and interactions
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to conduct assessments and create treatment plans
• Trauma-Informed Care experience preferred
• Bilingual candidates preferred
• Must pass de-escalation training as required by state regulations
• Basic computer proficiency
• Effective listening and problem-solving skills
