Behavioral Technician- Juvenile Detention Setting

Amergis Healthcare Staffing, a leading healthcare staffing and services company, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Technician to join our team at LACOE Juvenile Centers. Responsibilities:

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide support and assistance to youth at the LACOE Juvenile Centers.
• Implement behavior management strategies and interventions as directed by the supervising clinical staff.
• Monitor and document individual progress, behavior, and responses to interventions.
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment for the youth.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience working with individuals with behavioral challenges, preferably in a juvenile justice or school setting.
• Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage challenging situations.
• Reliable transportation.
