Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technicians to provide behavioral support services in school settings for the 2025–2026 academic year. This is a fill-in/floater position, ideal for candidates who enjoy variety and flexibility in their workday. You’ll support students in both 1:1 and classroom environments, helping them thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Position Details
- Location: Pasadena, CA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
- Pay Range: $22–$26/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioral and personal care support to assigned students
- Assist with classroom participation, grooming, meals, and toileting
- Support student mobility and transfers as needed
- Implement behavior intervention plans and encourage independence
- Respond to behavioral challenges and crises with appropriate interventions
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students
- Document services and incidents per company protocols
- Communicate regularly with Amergis office staff to confirm weekly schedules
- Adapt to changing assignments based on client needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s degree in behavioral studies or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Current CPR certification
- Valid TB test (skin or chest X-ray)
- Health clearance (if applicable)
- Successful completion of Amergis onboarding and testing process
