High School Special Education Teacher (Inclusion Setting)

Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Lakeville, MA who is currently seeking a High School Inclusion Special Ed Teacher to work with students on a contractual basis.

Details of the Position Include:

• Location: Lakeville, MA 02347
• Pay Rate: $50–$60/hour (based on experience)
• Start Date: 9/3/2025
• Duration: 2025–26 School Year
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Requirements:
• Experience in special education

·       DESE Moderate Licensure (Required) 

·       SEI Endorsement (Preferred)

• Familiarity with moderate to severe disabilities

Description:
The High School Inclusion SPED Teacher will work alongside general education teachers to provide push-in/pull-out services. Responsibilities include chairing annual IEP meetings, writing and revising IEPs, managing the classroom and paraprofessionals, and implementing differentiated instruction in core academics and life skills. The role emphasizes innovative strategies, inclusive practices, and promoting high academic standards for students with moderate to severe disabilities. The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12.  The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.  

Minimum Requirements:  

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred 
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations 
• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred 
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
• State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
• Current CPR if applicable 
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age
