High School Special Education Teacher – Math & Science

Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our high school team, with a focus on Math and Science instruction. This role supports students with diverse learning needs in grades 9–12 and collaborates closely with general education staff to ensure inclusive and effective learning environments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction in Math and Science to students with IEPs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and assessments.
• Participate in IEP development and implementation.
• Offer academic interventions and tutorial support.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (required).
• Valid state teaching certificate (required).
• At least one year of teaching experience (preferred).
• Preferred Certifications:
  • Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching
  • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
• Subject area expertise in Math and/or Science (strongly preferred).
• Current CPR certification (if applicable).
• TB test or chest x-ray (if applicable).
• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
