The Licensed Clinical Social Worker collaborates with the multi-disciplinary team to provide input in the development of the plan of care for those patients/clients requiring social work intervention. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker provides counseling and crisis intervention to patients/clients who have social or emotional problems in a variety of settings across the age span.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Social Work from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education required
- Active license as an LCSW in state of practice required
- Minimum of one year of social work experience preferred
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

Position Overview:
Aspire of WNY is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide mental health counseling services within our Article 16 Adult Clinic. This role is ideal for a clinician passionate about supporting adults with developmental disabilities in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient mental health counseling to adults with developmental disabilities, including individuals with Cerebral Palsy, Mild Intellectual Disabilities, and Down Syndrome.
- Address a range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, and other emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Conduct approximately 5 hours of therapy per week, with flexible scheduling. At least 1.5 hours should occur during daytime hours (8:30 AM – 2:30 PM) to accommodate individuals in the adult day program.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Behavior Management Coordinators, and residential care providers.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Practice Pro EHR system, with administrative support for billing and coding.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Must hold a valid LCSW license in New York State. LMSWs are not eligible due to Article 16 Clinic regulations.
- Experience: Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Work Environment: All sessions must be conducted on-site at the Article 16 Clinic. Telehealth is permitted only from within the clinic premises.
