Amergis Staffing is currently seeking highly skilled RNs for Day Shift Correctional assignments in Hookerton, NC.

Position Details:

· Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Extensions Available)

· Number of Openings: 4

· Shift Length: 8 or 12hrs

· Start Date: ASAP

· Schedules: 12hr Night Shift 6p-6:30a – 8hr 1st or 2nd Shift – Every Other Weekend Required – 40hr Weeks on 1st or 2nd Shift or 36hr/48hr Rotating Schedule for 12hr Night Shift

Additional Information:

Required Skills: Must Have Corrections Experience
Specific licensure and certifications/registrations required: Active VA or compact license & active BLS required
Interview process: Phone screen

The Correctional RN works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure the well-being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional RN utilizes their knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of the correctional environment while providing care to their patient population. This care includes both routine and emergency health care in a correctional facility setting.

Minimum Requirements:

Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices
Minimum of one year of correctional health care experience preferred
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
