Position Description:
Location: Fairhaven
Start Date: August 27, 2025
Duration: Full 2025–2026 School Year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: Up to $80/hour
Job Overview:
Amergis is hiring an Elementary School Psychologist to work on contract for the upcoming school year. The School Psychologist plays a vital role in supporting students through a range of mental health and developmental challenges. This position involves providing on-site psychological services to students in accordance with state and district guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students
- Conduct evaluations (initial assessments and 3-year reviews)
- Participate in and contribute to IEP and 504 meetings
- Provide short-term counseling and behavioral support
- Collaborate with school staff to develop student strategies and plans
- Track data, document progress, and maintain accurate records
- Support crisis response and classroom interventions
- Assist in developing and monitoring behavior plans
- Communicate with families and external providers as needed
- Stay current with district tools and special education regulations

The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aids in qualifying students for additional support services. The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment
- Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred
- Master’s degree in psychology preferred
- Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
