Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated LicensedAddiction Counselor (LAC) to join our multidisciplinary team inproviding high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance usedisorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of addiction,co-occurring disorders, and evidence-based treatment approaches. This roleinvolves conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans,facilitating group and individual therapy, and supporting clients through theirrecovery journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive substance use assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, MI, DBT).
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, and case management staff to ensure integrated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate clients and families about addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and coping strategies.
- Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing training.
- Support clients in accessing community resources and aftercare planning.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Active state licensure as an Addiction Counselor (e.g., LAC, LCAC, CADC, or equivalent).
- Open to ADT’s.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in addiction treatment or behavioral health.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Preferred:
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
- Familiarity with co-occurring mental health disorders.
Work Environment:
- Clinical setting (inpatient, outpatient, or residential).
- May require evening or weekend hours depending on program needs.
- Occasional travel for training or outreach may be required.
