Amergis Staffing is partnered with a much-respected facility in Palmer, MA who is currently seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to assist them on a contractual basis.

Details of the position include:

Position: Special Education Teacher

Description: Openings are available at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. The district’s primary need is in sub-separate settings, though inclusion roles are also available. Candidates must hold an active MA DESE Special Education License in either Mild/Moderate or Severe categories. Caseloads are capped at 12 for sub-separate classrooms and 24 for inclusion settings. Responsibilities include instructional planning, student and support staff management, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, IEP development, progress reporting, and active participation in IEP meetings.

Location: Palmer, MA

Facility Type: Public K–12 School District

Start: August 2025

Duration: 36 weeks (full school year)

Hours: Monday–Friday, during school hours (varies by site)

Pay Rate: $55–$60/hour

Requirements:

• Active MA DESE Special Education License (Mild/Moderate or Severe)

• Experience in sub-separate and/or inclusion classrooms

• Strong skills in lesson planning, behavior management, and IEP documentation
