Oncology Nursing Coordinator | Travel Contract | August Start – Bay Area
We’re working with a reputable hospital in Palo Alto, CA to place an experienced Oncology Nursing Coordinator for a full-time, travel contract role. This is a non-clinical position ideal for RNs with strong outpatient oncology experience who are ready to step away from bedside care and focus on coordination and patient support.
Position Highlights:
- Location: Palo Alto, CA
- Start Window: August/September 2025
- Contract Length: 26 weeks (with potential extensions)
- Schedule: 4x10s, Day Shift (40 hours/week)
- Setting: Cancer Center (Outpatient)
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate oncology care across multiple outpatient clinics
- Conduct patient outreach and follow-up via phone/messaging
- Manage documentation and workflows in Epic
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions
- Support various clinics based on operational needs
Ideal Candidate:
- Active RN license with 2+ years of outpatient oncology experience in the U.S.
- Background in care coordination, nurse navigation, or case management
- Comfortable working independently with minimal training
- Chemo certification is a plus, but not required
- Inpatient oncology experience is acceptable but not ideal for this role
- Must be tech-savvy and confident using Epic
- Must reside 50+ miles from Palo Alto, CA to qualify as a traveler
