School Aide (Teacher Assistant)

Amergis Staffing is currently seeking School Aides/Paraprofessionals for the 2025/26  school year

Pay:  $20/hr.

Position Details:  Responsibilities include working with students with disabilities, helping students to focus on and understand the curriculum, escorting children to restrooms, and other various tasked needed around the classroom.

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Hours/Week: up to 32.5 hours Weekly

Start Date: August 14, 2025

Length: 2025/2026 School Year

Age Range: Pre-k through 12th grade

School Aide Description:

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.  The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional. 

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice 
• Current CPR if applicable or willing to do online course
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements   
• Must be at least 18 years of age
