Secondary SPED Teacher

Amergis Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 25/26 School Year.

Start Date: August 18, 2025
Work Hours: 37 hours/week
Contract Duration: 39 weeks

Position Summary:

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides high-quality instructional services to students in grades K–12 with diverse learning needs. This role requires a strong commitment to collaborative planning and implementation of individualized student programs, including special instruction, tutorial support, and consultation with general education staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract, or district regulations
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred)
• Preferred Certifications:
  • Standard Elementary Teaching
  • Standard Secondary Teaching
  • Standard Special Teaching
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Compliance with all professional standards of practice
• Current CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
